Qualis is seeking a Training Specialist to support the Space and Missile Defense (SDM) Center of Excellence (SMDCoE) also known as the US SMD School. SMD School (SMDS) core functions include: 1) Educate, train, and develop leaders for Space and Missile Defense operations; 2) Develop Army Doctrine for Space, High Altitude, and Global Missile Defense; 3) Develop individual and collective training tasks for Space and Missile Defense operations; 4) Train and educate the Army at large in Space and Missile Defense; and 5) Execute the US Army's Quality Assurance Program to ensure standards are met in the education, training, and leadership development of Soldiers and Civilians. This position will provide support to the Space Operations Training Division (SOTD) and the Tactic

Responsibilities

Provide subject matter expertise and knowledge of space capabilities and support to Army operations.

Provides training and instruction to support one, or more, SMDS courses.

Develop lesson plans, training materials, and course content.

Conduct training sessions or demonstrations and develop evaluation criteria.

Analyze, design, develop, implement, evaluate, and maintain education and education and training in accordance with TR 350-70 series and Army accreditation standards.

Conduct research on new threats to current Army space-enabled capabilities, update existing training materials as necessary, and develop new training materials after analyzing the results of the research. Research shall include coordination with the SMDS training divisions to ensure training materials updated or developed are current, accurate, and aligned with Army School institutional training materials.

Conduct after action reviews (AAR), either in support of a government lead or independently, and report the results of the AARs for use in identification of trends for use in revision of training content as needed.

Utilization of software applications for use in training students in support of Army Space Operations.

Travel to conduct training as required.

Requirements

5+ years of space related military experience as an NCO or Officer or a Bachelor's Degree.

Understanding of Space Fundamentals.

Experience and understanding of military operations.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Previous instructor-facilitator experience.

Ability to brief higher ranking officials.

Understand the MDMP process.

Ability to articulate space to non-space personnel.

Knowledge and understanding of the ADDIE model.

Desired Knowledge/Skills

MOSQ: FA40, Space 200, ASCBC, ASCF, Space Control Operator, or other relevant space courses.

Graduate of a military instructor training course (CFD-IC, ITC/SGITC, FIFC, ABIC, AFBIC, etc.).

Experience in Army space operations; space mission areas; space organizations; and space integration into multi-domain operations, targeting, and the Army operations process.

Prior experience teaching or training military personnel.

Familiarity with the use of Government off-the Shelf software applications, such as Fusion Analysis Development Effort (FADE) software suite, GPS Interference and Navigation Tool (GIANT) application, and Integrated Solutions for Situational Awareness (ISSA).

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret or Top Secret/SCI level. US Citizenship is a requirement at this location.
