Ameresco Assistant Project Management Intern in Columbia, Maryland

Ameresco is looking for an Assistant Project Management Intern to support our Federal Team with field-based activities, assisting construction managers and superintendents on renewable energy and infrastructure projects. This internship provides valuable field experience for those interested in the hands-on side of project execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Managers, Construction Managers, and Superintendents with on-site project coordination and task execution.

  • Help manage and track project schedules, ensuring timely execution of construction phases.

  • Participate in site meetings and assist with reporting and documentation of construction progress.

  • Support field teams in documenting progress, including organizing site logs and updating project status reports.

  • Assist in monitoring site safety and compliance with project specifications and regulations.

  • Help coordinate deliveries, materials, and equipment as needed to maintain workflow on construction sites.

  • Walk around job sites to monitor project progress, ensure safety protocols are followed, and report any issues to the project team.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

  • Ability to review confidential US security information.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with construction or renewable energy projects.

  • Ability to gather, analyze, and present field data effectively.

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to walk and be physically active on construction job sites.
