Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Responsible for the day-to-day building operations including responding to tenant requests, performing repairs, and preventative maintenance of building systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting, repairs, adjustments, and preventative maintenance to all building systems including HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and finishes.

  • Carry out basic preventative building and grounds maintenance.

  • Coordinate and monitor access for subcontractors performing maintenance or repair work.

  • Conduct light repairs with plumbing, such as shutting off water in certain areas of the building to work on sinks and toilets.

  • Change door knobs and lighting ballasts.

  • Maintain all tools, parts, and supplies in an organized manner.

  • Inform the Chief Building Technician of any needs for replacement, restocking, or repair of items.

Essential Skills

  • Commercial building maintenance experience, minimum 3 years.

  • Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and troubleshooting.

  • Preventative maintenance and stationary engineering skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High-rise maintenance experience.

  • Willingness to train and develop skills.

  • Strong expertise in at least one of the three main trades: HVAC, plumbing, or electrical, with a preference for HVAC.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Columbia, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $80000.00
