TEKsystems Identity Engineer in Columbia, Maryland
Description
Our client is looking for an Identity Engineer to join their team to build and deploy their IAM and M365 suite of tools and technologies. *This person will be able to work 100% remote. If they are local to MD, they would expect them to come on-site 2 days / week. ** M365 experience (O365, MS Teams, Azure AD, Azure SSO) • Lacking M365 experience on the team Okta (acquiring this product) to replace Microsoft FIM as IAM platform • Would prefer Okta PAM (Maxim uses Centrify) Strong Powershell scripting skills Annette would prefer someone who is local but not opposed to 100% remote • 2 days on-site in Columbia, MD Position Description: The Systems Engineer is responsible for design, implementation, and maintaining Maxim’s IT infrastructure technologies and services. The Systems Engineer works collaboratively with the other Systems Engineers, and Solution Architects to design solutions based on performance and capacity projection, then work with project team in implementation planning and execution. The Systems Engineer acts as Third Tier support within the Enterprise Operations group to resolve production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and develop KBAs to help address further cases. The position provides advance guidance to other team members on technical matters related to their specializations, and may include focused product research and analysis when required. The Systems Engineer will be able to act as a thought leader for their core technical competencies as well as bring their diverse experience on all technical and operational disciplines to provide direction across the team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist with planning design technology solutions to fit IT strategies designed to address business needs. Includes working with vendors, other IT teams and Leadership in reviewing design and technical requirements. • Implement systems related technology projects • Creates and maintains design and configuration artifacts in accordance with Configuration Management and Systems Lifecycle best practices • Help define and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and best practices for their respective technologies. • Help creates Knowledge Base Articles (KBA's) for their respective technologies and conducts training for other team members. • Contributes in the development of automated repeatable scripts and orchestration. Scripts used to support automation of operations processes, and data collection for security compliance audits, capacity forecasting and performance monitoring. • Adheres to Information Security policies and contributes to creation of policies and related documents. • Support capacity planning and identifying proactive maintenance on their respective technologies and services to ensure service delivery • Contributes to the architecture peer review process • Contributes to the modernization of Maxim infrastructure strategy by helping evaluate, implement, and manage cloud based infrastructure and moving toward a more hybrid data center strategy. • Third tier technical support, and participate in troubleshooting methodology and often works with cross-team troubleshooting efforts. • Provides after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well occasional weekend maintenance • Interacts with customers and staff at the technical level, as required • Provide technical guidance and mentoring of junior Systems Engineers and System Administrators. • Performs other duties as assigned/necessary • Regularly engages in continual learning on their own time for their continued professional development. Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in a related area or 8-10 years of experience in the field • Eight (8) years of direct experience with Microsoft products, to include Windows Server, Exchange Server, as well as Active Directory • MCSE or similar certifications are preferred • Experience supporting and working with Software Development Lifecycle (Agile, SCRUM, DevOps), Project Management Lifecycle, and IT Service Management (ITIL) processes • Engineering experience with a broad range of technologies and concepts listed below, have lead the delivery of projects for these technologies, and demonstrated technical knowledge as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in several of these areas. o Microsoft Active Directory and related services o Identity and Access Management (Active Directory, FIM/MIM, SSO/ADFS, MFA) o Privileged Access Management technologies and concepts (Delinea, Centrify) o Microsoft Certificate / PKI technologies o System Security (Vulnerability assessment and remediation, Anti-Virus, Host-based Firewall) o Data Security (DLP, AIP, Data Classification) o Enterprise Messaging (Exchange, Symantec Enterprise Vault, Skype) o Microsoft O365 Identity, Messaging, and Collaborative Service o Microsoft Azure Infrastructure and Platform Services • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within field • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language may be required

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00
