If you are located in Columbia, MD or Minnetonka, MN , you will have the flexibility to work remotely*, as well as work in the office as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support month-end close accounting by compiling revenue estimates, tracking actuals, performing variances analysis to explain elements driving key variances to budgets, forecasts and historical trends
Record journal entries and/or analyze automated revenues data feeds from various sources, including commercial, private label, Medicaid, and Medicare premiums and administrative service revenues
Support inter-segment accounting by reconciling rate and volume variances, supports onboarding of new contracts, calculates risk-corridors and support audits
Owns private label customer reporting for assigned contracts. Keep up-to-date records of risk-share related payables or receivables from external customers
Support Dental Loss Ratio reporting by compiling financials in state specified formats
Prepare and present financial summary and related analytics of assigned legal entity to leadership/regulatory teams and manage ad-hoc reporting requests
Prepare or approve assigned GL account reconciliations and support internal or external audits
Assess and interprets customer needs and requirements
Identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems
Solve moderately complex problems and/or conduct moderately complex analyses

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
1+ years of Finance and/or Accounting experience
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA
Internal
Advanced SQL and Excel

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $58,300 to $114,300 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
