Description We are opening a position for an Accounting Clerk in Columbia, Missouri. The chosen candidate will be working within a non-profit organization, providing key support to the accounting department. The role offers a short term contract employment opportunity, involving tasks such as processing checks, updating entries, and general data entry. The candidate must have proficiency with QuickBooks.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage checks in a timely and accurate manner

• Update accounting entries in QuickBooks to ensure alignment with other software used

• Undertake general data entry tasks within the accounting department

• Reconciliation of accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Assist with billing and invoice processing tasks

• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Oracle, SAP, and other software as required

• Maintain accurate records of customer credit applications and transactions

• Respond and resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Billing procedures

• Strong Data Entry skills

• Ability to effectively process Invoices

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Oracle software

• Knowledge of QuickBooks software

• Familiarity with SAP software

• Possession of strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills

• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and professional ethics

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
