ob Description: Landscaping and Groundskeeping Workers

Position Summary: Landscaping and Groundskeeping Workers are responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces to ensure they are visually appealing and healthy. This role involves a variety of tasks including planting, mowing, trimming, and general landscape maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lawn Maintenance: Mow, edge, and fertilize lawns; apply herbicides and pesticides as needed.
• Planting and Cultivation: Plant flowers, shrubs, trees, and other vegetation; prepare soil and maintain garden beds.
• Irrigation Management: Install and maintain irrigation systems; monitor and adjust watering schedules.
• Landscape Design Support: Assist in the design and layout of landscaping projects, including hardscaping elements like walkways and patios.
• Seasonal Cleanup: Conduct spring and fall cleanups, including leaf removal and debris management.
• Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
• Safety Compliance: Follow safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in landscaping or groundskeeping preferred.
• Knowledge of plants, landscaping techniques, and maintenance practices.
• Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
