Summary This a National Guard Title 32 Excepted Service Position. This National Guard position is for a Permanent GS-2005-05/06/07 SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1185000 and is part of the MO HHD 175th Military Police Battalion. This is a bargaining position. Responsibilities Establishes hand receipt files for each unit, whether separate or organic to the organization, and maintains accountability by the use of hand receipt listings. Assures that all authorized non-expendable property is on hand or has been requisitioned to assist in maintaining the highest level of readiness for the organization. Schedules, directs, and conducts periodic inspections, inventories and change of hand receipt records to ensure equipment is serviceable, properly stored, maintained and accounted for as required by competent authority. Establishes quality procedures and oversees the edit of all documents. Establishes administrative procedures and oversees the flow of documents and reports through the Property Book Office to assure complete, accurate, and timely submission of data. Provides technical guidance and assistance to all organizational logistic personnel pertaining to the formal accountability of all non-expendable property assigned to the organization. Functions as the primary advisor in the operation of the automated property accountability system. Performs other duties as assigned. Responsible for the property book operations of the organization in the areas of inventory management, equipment coordination, and supply management for non-expendable items. Periodically performs assets visibility rebuild to validate data in the asset visibility files. Advises senior leadership on authorized equipment replacements and the effects to mission accomplishment. Plans, develops, and maintains actions/procedures for the immediate and subordinate organizations in preparation for the transfer of all or part of accountable property for deployment. Maintains property book accountability utilizing an automated system and related computer programs to account for property. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. Selected candidate must be MOS qualified within 12 months from date of appointment. Title 32 employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion). Maximum Military Grade - SSG (E-6) Minimum Military Grade - SPC (E-4) Enlisted - MOS 25B, 36B, 51C, 88M, 88N, 89A, 89B, 92A, 92F, 92G or 92Y GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered; and using computer and automation systems. GS-07 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess 12 months experience, education, or training which demonstrates a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment. The specialized experience must also demonstrates your ability to conduct extensive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts; and performing routine aspects of supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management. GS-06 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess 9 months of specialized experience, education, or training which demonstrates knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment. The specialized experience must also demonstrate your ability to conduct searches for required information; reconstruct records for routine supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts; and perform routine aspects of supply specialist work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management. GS-05 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess 6 months of specialized experience that demonstrates knowledge of standardized supply regulations, policies, procedures, or other instructions relating to the specific functions of one or more areas of a military supply system; and working knowledge of the structure of a supply organization and the organizations serviced. This position may be filled at the GS-05 or GS-06 trainee grade or the target grade of GS-07. An applicant who is selected at one of the trainee grades will have potential for promotion to the target grade of GS-07 without further competition. Promotion to full operating/journeyman level will be made after qualifications and eligibility requirements have been met and the incumbent is performing at the higher level in a satisfactory manner. Education Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience at the GS-05 grade levels only. If you are using Education to qualify for this position at the GS-05 grade level, you must possess 3 academic years of education in an accredited college or university and at least 90 semester hours of study. When education is required or substituted for experience, you must submit copies of college transcripts with the application packet.
