How you make a difference

Under the direct supervision of a Clinical Team Leader, or other licensed clinician, team members in this role assist in the provision of case management and ancillary treatment services to civilly committed residents of the facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, policies, procedures, and regulations set forth by the South Carolina Department of Mental Health (DMH) and professional governing bodies.

  • Under the direct supervision of a Clinical Team Leader or licensed clinician, support treatment services for residents by conducting weekly case management, treatment planning, ancillary programming, and clerical tasks, adhering to established performance standards and documentation guidelines.

  • Conduct direct contact and document services in line with established performance standards, which includes individual weekly contacts, reviewing and integrating resident records for personalized treatment plans, facilitating resident referrals to appropriate groups and activities, timely documentation, and assisting with correspondence and required paperwork.

  • Actively engage in staff meetings, case conferences, treatment team meetings, and staff development sessions.

  • Collaborate with your Clinical Team Leader or licensed clinician in weekly individual supervision, participate in relevant training programs, and contribute to clinical team meetings while assisting in providing training and consultation to treatment and security staff as necessary. Additionally, perform any other assigned duties as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related human services field.

Experience

  • Two (2) years’ experience working in the human/social services field, with sexual offenders or other related populations preferred.
