Robert Half Global FP&A Director in Columbia, South Carolina

Description

We are on the search for a Global FP& A Director to join our client's team in Columbia, SC. This role involves leading the financial planning and analysis function, providing critical input on long-range planning, forecasting, strategic and tactical business decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Spearhead the quarterly forecasting and annual planning process in sync with the Finance and Corporate teams.

• Design financial models and analyses to bolster strategic and finance initiatives, including long-range plans and annual plans.

• Issue and maintain pulse reports for gross margin, bookings, and free cash flow, communicating risks and opportunities vs. monthly and quarterly forecasts to the Leadership Team.

• Generate and distribute timely management reports needed by the regional and business line leaders to manage their businesses and prepare for the monthly business and quarterly operating reviews.

• Deliver insightful and timely monthly and quarterly financial information required by the Leadership Team and corporate FP& A.

• Craft monthly, quarterly, and annual presentations for the Leadership Team and Board of Directors.

• Uphold FP& A processes and tools used by regional finance teams to support financial projections, management reporting, and overall data integrity for decision making.

• Assist with special financial and business-related studies and collaborate with other departments in preparing analyses.

• Support acquisition and divestiture activities and provide analysis and insight for other financial transactions.

• Provide ad-hoc analysis and support as needed, including special projects such as tax and treasury initiatives and financial presentations.

• Take on a leadership role in mentoring a global FP& A function.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in a leadership role

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis

• Proficiency in annual budgeting and budget processes

• In-depth understanding of corporate financial planning

• Proven experience in forecasting and modeling

• Ability to develop and implement budgeting and forecasting strategies

• Strong analytical skills to analyze financial data and make strategic recommendations

• Excellent leadership and team management skills

• Exceptional communication skills to effectively convey financial data and strategies to stakeholders

• Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Master's degree or professional certification such as CFA or CPA is a plus

• Proven track record of driving financial planning and analysis processes

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

• High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality.
