Job Title: Millwright

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Millwright for a contract-to-permanent position. You will ride in a company vehicle with a direct employee driver, departing from the office each morning to the job site and returning to the office at the end of the shift. The company vehicle will be equipped with necessary tools. You will clock in when leaving for the job site and clock out upon returning, being paid hourly for all time worked.

Responsibilities

  • Work at customer sites for the entire shift or return to the office if the project finishes early.

  • Perform tear down, setups, and assembly tasks.

  • Engage in welding tasks including MIG, TIG, and flux core welding.

  • Handle mechanical assembly, installation, and troubleshooting.

  • Drill and tap holes, bend conduit, and read blueprints and schematics.

  • Conduct maintenance, repair, and general labor tasks.

  • Work on emergency breakdowns and outages as required by customer needs.

Essential Skills

  • 3-5 years of welding experience, with certification being a significant advantage.

  • Proficiency in mill, drill, tap, tear down, and setup tasks.

  • Experience in mechanical assembly, installation, and blueprint reading.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in commercial construction, hydraulics, and electrical work.

  • Familiarity with hand tools, grinding, sheet metal work, and carpentry.

  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment.

Work Environment

You will work in a machine shop setting, spread across 4-5 buildings. In this role, you will travel daily to client job sites in a company truck with a co-worker to perform repair work, setups, and other tasks. The assignments are typically day assignments with minimal overnight travel.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00
