Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Columbus, Indiana

Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Columbus, Indiana. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for meticulously managing customer accounts, processing applications, and resolving any concerns our customers might have. You will also be tasked with monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary actions in a high-volume Accounts Payable environment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner

• Maintain precise records of customer credit

• Handle customer inquiries and resolve them efficiently

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions as needed

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems for various accounting functions

• Manage Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions

• Perform account coding and accrual accounting tasks

• Use ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for streamlining processes

• Conduct auditing to ensure financial compliance

• Operate ADP - Financial Services and Concur for financial management and expense reporting respectively. Requirements • Possess skills in Account Coding to efficiently organize and manage financial data.

• Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems for streamlining accounting processes.

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services, necessary for payroll and human resource management.

• Proficiency in using Concur, a tool for managing business expenses and invoices.

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning to integrate and manage core business processes.

• Knowledge of Accounting Functions to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) including invoice processing, reconciliation, and payment.

• Understanding of Accrual Accounting principles to recognize expenses and revenues when they are incurred, not physically paid or received.

• Auditing skills to review, assess, and improve financial systems and processes.

• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) to manage electronic financial transactions.
