This is a job for a CONTROL SPECIALIST position with a company located in the Columbus, MS area.
M1 is looking for a Control Specialist: Controls and coordinates maintenance activities throughout the maintenance complex and adherence to flight schedules. Responds to emergency, contingency, and exercise situations using established check sheets. Controls, coordinates, and maintains status of the maintenance effort on all aircraft and applicable equipment. Evaluates maintenance requirements and takes timely action to identify problems. Coordinates and monitors the physical movement of aircraft and coordinates maintenance schedules, actions, and priority changes. Establishes the requirements for and schedules aerospace vehicle refueling. Monitors status and controls maintenance actions throughout the maintenance complex. Monitors radio net to update status boards. Dispatches personnel to the job site via maintenance radio net/phone based on section workload and priority established by MOC and Management. Ensures all applicable automated data processing equipment is updated in a timely manner with accurate information. Controls and directs maintenance support requirements during emergencies, exercises, and contingencies. May be required to rotate and be knowledgeable of all control positions within MOC. Responsible for entering data correctly into appropriate data base system, including IMDS, MMS, CAMS or other applicable systems. May be assigned to accomplish debriefing of aircrews and inputs into the maintenance data system. Complies with AFI and AETCI publications related to section assigned. Practices good housekeeping and safety at all times. May be assigned as a Senior Control Specialist in his absence. Performs tasks with minimum supervision. May be assigned additional duties, to include Building Custodian. Shall assist other personnel and work centers as directed. Must promote Company values, policies, and standards of conduct. Must be customer oriented and ensure professional coordination with Operations and other base agencies. Shall perform other duties assigned to include TDY and travel. Receives cross-utilization training (CUT) and is qualified to perform those tasks. Must be able to work day shift, night shift, or weekend duty as required.
Additional Requirements: Prior MOC experience is preferred. Minimum of two years maintenance experience. High school diploma or the equivalent is required. Ability to maintain composure in a high stress environment and work well with others. Excellent computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office Suite, IMDS or equivalent, and data entry. A thorough knowledge of the procedures specified in applicable AF directives. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules. Excellent communications, organization, and time management skills. If required, must be able to qualify for a security clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain a flightline driver's license. Physical exertion requirement is light.
