The role you’ll contribute:
A staff physical therapist is a qualified professional who is responsible for providing physical therapy services to all patient populations (pediatrics through geriatrics). Provides physical therapy services to patients/clients who have physical impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes; provide prevention and wellness services, including screenings and health promotion.

Physical therapists demonstrate and articulate sound clinical reasoning in synthesizing complex evaluation data identifying the diagnosis and developing a comprehensive plan of care
Develop and update appropriate plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family and related to the person’s age and lifestyle with measurable long- and short-term goals and a defined discharge plan
Understand the role of physical therapy in the context of the patient’s age, total needs perspective and environment.
Perform age-appropriate competency skills in area of practice and with respect to individual patient’s problems.
Exhibit the highest level of quality and services to all patients.
Plan, develop, coordinate and implement varying levels of activities for swing bed patients in order to help patients meet their therapy goals
Ensure patient goals for swing bed are met.
Actively support and participate in patient coverage efforts within the department and across other departments as necessary.
Documentation is concise, pertinent and meets the professions and departments documentation standards.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
Required:
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy
Successful completion of NC Physical Therapy State Board Examination or other state equivalent
Licensure as a Physical Therapist within the state of North Carolina
Must hold and maintain current BCLS certification (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
