Summary:

  • Huntington Bank is looking for a key leader in our Information Technology organization. In this role you will lead a group of engineers and provide the technical vision and direction for the Huntington SDK. The Huntington SDK is a collection of frameworks that enables the developers to focus on the business logic and deliver value while conforming to Huntington standards for software development. The Huntington SDK assists with API development and Micro UI development at Huntington.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of a robust, efficient, and compliant SDK.

  • Identify a target state for the frameworks and create a roadmap of delivery milestones for iterative development.

  • Serve as a technical lead, providing guidance and mentorship to other engineers on the team.

  • Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code.

  • Work directly with the developer community to solicit feedback, understand their needs, and incorporate their input into the SDK.

  • Create comprehensive documentation and tutorials to support SDK adoption and usage.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, UX/UI design, and QA, to deliver a seamless developer experience.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices and share knowledge with the team and broader community.

  • Manage and lead a geographically dispersed team of 5-8 engineers effectively

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field.

  • 7+ years of related experience.

  • Proven experience in leading technical projects and mentoring engineers.

  • Experience with API development with a focus on Java and C#.

  • Experience with modern web application development with a focus on ReactJS.

  • Strong understanding of software design principles and patterns.

  • Familiarity with compliance and security standards in software development.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with the developer community.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).

  • Experience designing and developing cloud-first software solutions with requirements such as performance, high availability, reliability, security, etc.

  • At least 10 years of experience in a Technology Leadership position

  • Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize work, manage supply & demand, and build high performing teams

  • Understanding of Agile and DevOps practices and tools.
