The Associate Director, Software Engineering plays a pivotal role in enhancing our software quality assurance protocols. This position entails overseeing the testing and debugging phases, developing solutions for software issues, and standardizing the quality assurance procedures. The ideal candidate will conduct thorough research on software-related complaints and implement necessary adjustments or recommendations to address complex issues effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Standardize Quality Assurance Procedures: Establish and refine quality assurance protocols to ensure software reliability and performance.
Oversee Testing and Debugging: Direct the testing processes to identify areas for improvement in software applications, ensuring any anomalies are effectively addressed.
Develop and Implement Fixes: Innovate and apply corrective measures for software issues, enhancing system functionality and user satisfaction.
Complex Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve intricate software-related issues, making informed decisions that may impact various technical and operational areas within the department.
Leadership and Direction: Lead multiple managerial or highly specialized professional teams, guiding them towards achieving excellence in software engineering.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
A minimum of 6 years of technical experience in IT and software development.
A strong passion for driving continuous improvement in consumer experiences through innovative IT solutions.
Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
A proactive approach to technology and innovation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in a related field.
Certifications in Quality Assurance methodologies or Project Management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to fostering a positive team environment and enhancing user satisfaction.
At least 2 years of direct management experience, overseeing technical teams.
3 or more years in a managerial role within IT, demonstrating a broad understanding of IT solutions including technologies, platforms, applications, and capabilities.

Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$156,600 - $215,400 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
