JPMorgan Chase Consumer Banking - Product Risk Manager (Consumer Deposits) - Vice President in Columbus, Ohio

As a Consumer Banking Product Risk Manager (Consumer Deposits) - Vice President in the Consumer & Business Banking (CBB) Risk Management group, you will be instrumental in guiding our product and capabilities teams with a strong risk management perspective. Your role involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with new initiatives, and you will be responsible for escalating critical issues to the Chief Risk Officer and the risk committee when necessary. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact deposit product projects that are central to the firm's strategy. Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of Consumer Banking products and services.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to product development teams, understanding both long-term plans and short-term activities while maintaining independence.

  • Identify strategic, operational, and reputational risks within products and services.

  • Evaluate new concepts or modifications to existing services to ensure all risks are identified and appropriate controls are in place.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of applicable bank policies and external regulations to escalate issues appropriately to Compliance and Legal partners.

  • Represent the interests of internal stakeholders in risk management reliably.

  • Collaborate with business units to solve complex problems.

  • Stay informed about changes in the marketplace, including technology, products, and threats.

  • Communicate complex concepts and issues in a business-friendly manner to senior/executive management.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelors Degree

  • Minimum of 5 years in a Risk or oversight function (Audit, Controls, Operational Risk Management, Information Risk Management, Compliance) or other relevant deposit product role.

  • Experience with digital/mobile banking, payments, and/or other emerging technologies.

  • Familiarity with agile development methodology.

  • Strong critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to defend positions with quantitative analysis developed with an analytical team.

  • Proficiency in working with both business and technically oriented individuals.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong emotional intelligence and ability to influence.

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines and priorities.

  • Team-oriented mindset.
