Position Overview Lead and mentor Process and Organizational Efficiency Improvement Projects in transactional and operational processes that support Business Systems and Strategy Translate objectives into prioritized & actionable plans at a work-stream level and utilizes effective project management, tracking and reporting skills for the Business Units Identify innovation/growth/improvement opportunities on an ongoing basis that support the Business Strategy Drive the "thinking and application" of Lean and PDCA (Plan; Do; Check; Act) as an everyday continuous improvement approach in conjunction with the development of work standards Champion the development and support of management systems to ensure continued focus on improvement and Business Process Excellence Job Responsibilities Lead Kaizen workshops to identify and document existing operational, business and organizational work processes, propose innovations and enhancements that address gaps to improve productivity and efficiency Determine "As Is" state for formal and informal work processes Identify key interfaces between functions and work processes Identify "pain points" in existing processes and subsequent opportunities for improvement Provide framework for process owners to prioritize improvements and establish plans and goals Create pathways to improvement Understand when to apply PDCA (Plan; Do; Check; Act) as an everyday continuous improvement approach vs in depth, data driven DMADV/DMAIC projects Execute Productivity, Process/System and Performance improvement projects from Idea generation, to RTA, to Project execution and closure; lead projects him/herself (based on resource availability and complexity) Utilize Project planning techniques such as the Scrum, Step to Milestones approach, Toll gate reviews, Stage Gate reviews etc. within the context of the local Management Control and Reporting system and benefit process tracking and project tracking systems. Lead change management and partner with key Process and/or Functional stakeholders and leaders to understand and adopt process improvements Develop materials and deliver workshops to support driving towards a process-oriented organization which includes the behavioral change needed - breaking out of silo thinking Ensure sustainability of implemented Process Improvements and adherence to standards by working closely with the Organization and CI Team Drive for resolution of problems within the team environment utilizing the complete CI toolset.
