ENGIE NORTH AMERICA Contracts Intern in Columbus, Ohio

What You Can Expect As our Contracts Intern, in Columbus, OH, at The Ohio State University. You will be responsible for support with contract management activities including review of supplier invoices and change orders, generate / review redline documents, participate in preparing bid evaluations for review with stakeholders. Every day you will assist the Capital Projects Contract team with day-to-day sourcing and contracting functions for both the development of Request for Proposals (RFP) and Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and the contracting activities post-award. You will report to the Contracts Advisor. The internship work term will be January 6th, 2025 - May 30th, 2025, 10-20 hours per week minimum. What You'll Bring You are an undergraduate junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field, or a Graduate student with a technical or business field from The Ohio State University You have experience with the software included in the Microsoft Office Suite; particularly creation and editing of word documents, spreadsheets and capable of learning procurement software platforms like (ARIBA, COUPA) You can communicate effectively, both written and verbally; organize and prioritize work and handle multiple tasks You have knowledge of general procurement processes or business principles You can coordinate and communicate with project teams and external stakeholders during the initial review, negotiation and finalization of competitive solicitations You will assist with updating and organizing contract tracking files for various types of contracts You will conduct market research for labor and materials You will assist with development of contracting process & quality improvement initiatives Additional Details This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy This role requires attendance at a worksiteon a weekly basis Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies Additional hours/weeks may be available based on business needs and will be discussed in advance with your supervisor Compensation Salary Range: $22.00 to $29.50 USD hourly This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
