JPMorgan Chase Financial Analysis Release and Event Management - Associate in Columbus, Ohio

The Financial Analysis Team consists of three main functions: Release & Event Management, User Support/Operations, and Change Management/Process Controls/Access Management/Governance. Together, these functions seek to provide best-in-class support for the F3/FWPAAWS/Anaplan applications that are inclusive of many Products leveraged for the firm's forecasting community.

The Financial Analysis Release & Event Management Associate will be responsible for providing best-in-class Release and Event Management support for the firm's forecasting products and end users. The member will learn and partner with team members around the globe participating in release and event delivery, deploying Production models for the Anaplan application, as well as maintaining relationships across multiple levels of the firm. The role is a central point to unify release/event activities for multiple technology teams and Product Owners, covering many Lines of Business. This is accomplished by leading through planning, communications, and coordination with key stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Release Management & Environmental Event Support: Processes, guidelines/standards, documentation, metrics, and tools for Product Managers and Application Developers to manage the life cycle of requests.

  • Provide support in planning and coordinating code releases/events by collaborating with various technology teams and Product Owners to identify the release/event scope, components impacted, timing collisions, and the deployment timelines.

  • Escalations: Looping in senior management for approvals, escalations, and risk mitigation.

  • Communication Champion: Serving as the single point of communication to the F3/FWPAAWS/Anaplan application stakeholders/users for releases/events and creating/maintainingmonthly calendar view of releases, events, and publishing dates for key stakeholders. Additionally, w ith end users of our financial reporting applications, leverage written and verbal communication skills to understand and triage their issues while often translating the nature of the issues to senior leadership, Technology partners, and Product Owners for troubleshooting, prioritization, and resolution.

  • Test Coordination and Documentation: Align resources for smoke testing on 'day of' releases and events, as well as create/maintain the Confluence pages and other tracking mechanisms to ensure clear control documentation, evidencing of signoffs, and RAID issues.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:

  • Bachelor's degree required from an accredited university/institution; advanced degree and/or certifications

  • Data analysis experience with a passion for technology

  • Demonstrates flexibility, teamwork, can multi-task effectively, builds partnerships, and ability to work in a fast-moving environment

  • Assertive, self-confident, and comfortable when interacting with senior management

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities

  • Nice to have experiences include (but are not limited to): Release Management, Risk Management, Financial Reporting, Analytics/Dashboarding, FwP&A/Forecasting, Agile

  • Background in economic forecasting, regulatory reporting (i.e., FRB Reporting) or Macroeconomic Variables is an advantage

  • Experience with project management tools like (JIRA/Confluence/ServiceNow, a plus)

  • Experience with Data modelling tools like Anaplan is a plus
