JPMorgan Chase J.P. Morgan Wealth Management- Senior Associate, Advisor Onboarding in Columbus, Ohio

The Advisor Onboarding Team for J.P. Morgan Wealth Management develops and manages the centralized Advisor Onboarding program to create a great employee experience for newly hired Advisors that allows our Advisors to deliver on our vision to help our clients make the most of their money, so they can make the most of their lives.

As the Advisor Onboarding Associate you are responsible for initiating the onboarding process for newly hired Advisors, holding support partners accountable to established service level agreements, working directly with the advisor and their management team, and driving end to end process, efficiency, and control improvements.

Job responsibilities

  • Actively support and assist candidates as their single point of contact (SPOC) as they progress through the Advisor Onboarding Program

  • Partner with Recruiting, Licensing & Registration and Technology to ensure a positive and consistent onboarding experience

  • Host a kick-off call for each new advisor to review Advisor Onboarding Program expectations and timelines (licensing and registration process, study materials, study calendar, deadlines, number of exam attempts, etc.)

  • Initiate the licensing and registration process (FINRA U4 process, Insurance Licensing process, Insurance Carrier Appointments, etc.) for assigned advisors and establish oversight to ensure completion of activities within required time frames.

  • Order licensing study materials for candidates. Create study calendar with assignments to ensure the candidate will complete the study material and is prepared to pass licensing exams within required testing deadlines.

  • Schedule licensing exams within required time frames for advisors. Manage retest policies and procedures.

  • Monitor Advisor progress throughout the licensing program. Assess progress vs. study calendar and bring problems/issues to the attention of managers. Connect candidate with sources for support from vendors for tutoring around content.

  • Assist Advisors with accessing the tools and resources available to support the Advisor through the licensing and registration process.

  • Initiate Hardware & Software Deployment process. Submit all Hardware equipment requests and coordinate installation/setup. Submit all Software requests. Track candidates throughout the technology deployment process. Resolve issues with hardware and software setup.

  • Adhere to Advisor Onboarding service level agreements

  • Issue Resolution. Partner with Human Resources, Licensing & Registration, Technology and Field Leadership to troubleshoot and solve issues end to end.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 3 plus years of brokerage/financial services industry experience. Familiarity with CWM or JPMS business a plus.

  • Highly motivated, customer-focused, proactive, results-oriented

  • Detail oriented, strong analytical/problem solving and organizational skills

  • Strong interpersonal, relationship management and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to create and foster strong partnerships with business partners to influence positive change.

  • Focus on driving continuous process improvement.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Comfortable communicating with Advisors, Field Leadership, and internal business partners at all levels.

  • Ability to analyze data and trends

  • Ability to create process/procedure documentation

  • Strong Excel and Power Point skills, with proficiency across the broad suite of Microsoft Office software (Word, Visio, Outlook, etc.)

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Prior experience with Advisor or Banker Onboarding/Licensing programs with working knowledge of securities registration and insurance licensing processes (licensing paperwork, U4, Series 7, 66 exam scheduling, life/health insurance process, etc.) preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
