Job Title: Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join one of the largest wire and steel fabricators in the United States. The company specializes in manufacturing light and heavy-duty wire mesh decking, flue spacers, dividers, gridwall/slatwall, mine mesh, fencing, and more. The starting rate for this position depends on experience but begins at $23/hr.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments.

• Fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines.

• Use machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce precision metal parts.

• Plan and carry out the operations needed to make machined products that meet precise specifications.

• Rebuild small cylinders and components of machines.

Essential Skills

• Knowledge and experience with lathe, mills, and precision grinders.

• Proficiency in surface plate inspections.

• Knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, layouts, and machining procedures.

• Familiarity with CNC (Haas and/or Accurite) operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

• Experience with micrometers and other precision measuring tools.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00
