The Manager is an advocate for the field organization and cross-functional home office teams by leading the day-to-day strategy and execution of the Buy Online, Pick Up in Store (BOPIS) program, store supplies, and offsite storage while building capabilities through strategies in these functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead BOPIS program initiatives, concepts, and strategies from the ideation phase through solution delivery, including prioritization of enhancements, projects, and solutions.

  • Lead peak/non-peak field readiness specific to BOPIS and offsite storage strategies – holiday readiness, critical store/market support, testing, etc.

  • Serve as a key brand liaison between Store Support, the Field, various Home Office departments, and centralized functions (logistics, digital and technology/IT), supply chain, and procurement.

  • Lead the proactive approach to solve for emerging business trends, supply chain disruptions, increased demand, cost efficiencies, new business opportunities and waste reduction.

  • Responsible for the stores supplies budget in partnership with Stores Finance.

  • Oversee the maintenance of the supply ordering platform, steady state, and implementation of system enhancements.

  • Lead initiatives related to how we store product that creates capacity, allowing stores to execute the movement of product effectively and safely, inclusive of strategies that drive positive associate relations and safety for 4000+ storage units.

  • Evaluate processes, recommend improvements, and present innovative ideas that align with feedback, observations, measurable data and company strategies, including brand initiatives and technologies, future planning, and operational efficiencies. Serve as the voice of the field, soliciting feedback and sharing out with key business partners to influence creating efficiencies for our store associates.

Qualifications

Key Partners include:

  • Store Operations, Finance, Field Communications, Field Leaders, Digital Operations, E-Commerce, IT, Supply Chain, Procurement, Marketing, MP&A, Store Design

    Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to work with business leaders to develop operational, omnichannel strategies and solutions

  • Proven ability to develop content and solutions for a field-based audience

  • Experience leading multiple complex projects

  • Strong ability and desire to work collaboratively

  • Ability to prioritize multiple requests and take appropriate action

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, change-oriented environment

  • Deep understanding of the needs of an omnichannel retailer to support a field-based audience

  • Ability to influence partners to arrive at solutions that best support each initiative

  • Approximately 20% travel required

  • Lead a team of four (4) associates to deliver BOPIS program management, execute procurement and storage solutions functions and strategy

  • Gather and solicit feedback through strong working relationships with the field; action relevant insights to drive improvement, develop/adjust strategies and hindsight’s and act as an advocate for the field redirecting priorities as needed

  • Inspire the team to achieve higher levels of performance

    Education/Experience:

  • Prior retail experience a must

  • BA/BS in Business, Project Management, Logistics, or like experience

  • 5 years leading an operational team

  • 3 years sales driving experience preferred
