Nurse Practitioner Acute Care-Hem/Onc Clinical Services Requisition ID 2024-53581 Category Advanced Practice Provider Overview Nurse Practitioner Acute Care Shift: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday/8-hour shifts Status: 0.6 FTE 24 hours/week Unit: Hem/Onc Clinical Services Experience: Hem/Onc/BMT experience and CPHON certification preferred or sought within 3 years This Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will work with the multi-disciplinary sickle cell and thalassemia disease team to provide care for patients from infancy to young adulthood. This APP will work in the outpatient setting to provide care in the Hem/Onc clinic and infusion clinic to help promote optimal health and outcomes for patients. In addition to clinical care there are opportunities to engage in research and quality improvement work within this team. The ideal candidate is highly motivated to learn and grow, works well with a multi-disciplinary team, has strong communication and time management skills. CPHON certification is desired at time of hire but if not at time of hire is strongly encouraged within 3 years. Provides healthcare to individuals or groups that requires knowledge and skill obtained from advanced formal education, certification and clinical experience. Practices within professional scope and promotes patient advocacy in accordance with the profession?s Code of Ethics and maintains a current Ohio Advanced License. Why Nationwide Children's Hospital? Responsibilities Assesses patients and/or populations; develops, implements and evaluates plans of care; clearly documents and communicates information both in written and verbal forms.
