Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trust and Estate Paralegal to join a prominent firm with a location in the Columbus area.

Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys in the preparation of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other related instruments.

• Manage the administration of complex estates, including probate proceedings, asset valuation, tax filings, and distribution of assets.

• Prepare and file federal and state estate tax returns, as well as gift tax returns.

• Conduct legal research and analysis on a variety of trust and estate matters.

• Draft correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents.

• Maintain accurate and organized client files.

• Coordinate with clients, beneficiaries, trustees, and other professionals involved in the estate planning and administration process.

• Stay current on changes in estate law and tax regulations.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Experience as a Trust and Estate Paralegal, with a focus on high net worth clients.

• Strong understanding of estate planning and administration principles.

• Proficiency in legal research and writing.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Proficiency in legal software, including document management systems and tax preparation software.

• Experience working with complex estate assets, such as real estate, closely held businesses, and investment portfolios.
