Summary:

Metaverse Partner Engineering is a highly technical team that helps create, accelerate and up-level Content Ecosystems on Meta Quest devices. The Head Of Entertainment for MPE is an opportunity to lead and scale a team of Partner Engineers tasked with accelerating and up-leveling Entertainment content across current and future Meta Quest devices. As a Partner Engineering TLM (Team Lead Manager) you will be a part of Meta’s Reality Labs (RL) organization and work closely with engineering teams and external partners on product features, developer tools, and 3rd-party integrations.Success in this role will require you to go technically deep, have product sense whilst also offering strategic direction and deep care for your reporting team. You will combine excellent technical, product, and business skills to make our partners and platforms successful.

Required Skills:

Partner Engineering Manager, Metaverse (Entertainment) Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage a team of Entertainment partner engineers by providing strategic guidance, mentorship and career development opportunities

2. Scope design, and build new solutions utilizing understanding of Entertainment technologies

3. Collaborate with external partners, internal Engineering and Product partners within Meta teams

4. Identify and surface insights using metrics on product usage to increase adoption and provide new solutions that address the needs of our partners

5. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics for the team, ensuring continuous improvement in partner engineering processes

6. Represent the Partner Engineering team in executive-level meetings and communications, advocating for partner needs within Meta

7. Use a broad range of technical and soft skills to build effective relationships with our internal and external partners. Utilize these skills to influence product roadmaps and partner integrations

8. Help scale programs by contributing new features, bug fixes, documentation and other educational materials

9. Mentor and share knowledge with peers, creating a cohesive atmosphere amongst the team

Minimum Qualifications:

10. 10+ years of experience in Partner Engineering, technical program management, or related roles

11. 5+ years of experience managing and leading technical teams

12. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience

13. Experience communicating effectively, influencing, and collaborating across various levels of the organization

14. Proven track record of successfully managing complex technical projects and partner relationships

15. In-depth experience in various aspects of Media, Sports and Music Entertainment technologies

16. Background working with streaming technologies (e.g. DASH, HLS, WebRTC)

17. Experience shipping products requiring stringent runtime performance practices, such as complex mobile or 3D applications or games

18. Background working on real-time gameplay mechanics or games systems

19. Involved in developing immersive VR games or experiences.

20. Shipped at least one game using Unity, Unreal, or other leading game engine

21. Advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field

Public Compensation:

$210,000/year to $285,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
