Job Summary

Part of a larger team delivering technology solutions to address business problems and opportunities. Focus on translating specific business requirements into technical solution architectures including application architecture, integration architecture, data architecture, and non-functional requirements around supportability, resiliency, security, etc. Translate general business requirements and business trends in architecture patterns and technology ecosystems including data center architecture, application architecture patterns, integration architecture patterns, technology standards, non-functional technical requirements, and computing paradigms.

Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

  • Design and deliver solutions to meet complex business needs. Investigate and clarify business unit pain‐points, address needs, develop and communicate solution options. Leverage standard reference architectures, design patterns, technology guidelines and standards.

  • Produce all architectural solution and project deliverables without assistance;Act a key Subject Matter Expert and for technology leadership on specific technical and business topics.Mentor, guide and oversee one or more junior solution architects.

  • Work with the project team and leadership to ensure success of the projects in their portfolio.

  • Participate in project decision‐making to ensure trade‐offs between project delivery and architectural goals are well‐reasoned.

  • Active contributor in the assessment of supported business unit solution portfolio, including the development of current‐ and future‐state views of a given solution portfolio efforts.

Minimum Requirements:

Architect Principal (SG9):

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required.

Experience: 8 years of relevant work experience is required.

An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.

Architect Staff (SG10):

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required.

Experience: 10 years of relevant work experience is required.

An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.

Preferred Requirements:

  • High-level of experience and in-depth technical knowledge of Microsoft 365 Product Suite, Email protection (Proofpoint), internal/external collaboration, including conferencing room technologies

  • In-depth technical knowledge of end user computing including desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS), and knowledge virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI/Citrix) and application virtualization

  • Deep knowledge of end user facing security issues including Identity Management, DLP, end point protections and CASB's

  • Experience with SCCM/MECM, endpoint security, mobile technology management,end user computing hardware, and workstation patching / software deployment methodologies

  • Technical consulting across Infrastructure and Application portfolios, ensuring design and implementation complements current and future state architectural strategies. Lead larger, complex implementations within the End User technology teams

  • 5+ years in enterprise end usertechnologies architecture/engineering role, executing and managing complex end user solutions

  • 5+ years of experience of engineering technologies like O365, Intune, OnPrem Exchange Servers, SharePoint, MS Teams, MDM Solution, Application Rationalization, Desktop Security Tools, Azure, AWS

Note: This role will participate in the design and deployment activities. They will need to have tangible experience in building what they have stated on their resume; this role requires a level of strategy and practical execution experience.

Compensation:

Architect Principal (SG9): $110,656.00-$143,853.50

Architect Staff (SG10): $129,963.00-$168,952.00

Candidates will be considered based on their qualifications and the candidate’s ability to work from an approved work location.
