Title: Receptionist

Reports to: Senior Human Resources Manager

Supervises: None

Status: Non-Exempt

Objective

The Receptionist serves visitors by professionally greeting, welcoming, and directing them and notifying staff of visitor's arrival. Additionally, the role supports the Human Resources Team in an administrative capacity.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs opening and closing procedures in a manner that is fully aligned with policies and procedures
  • Accepts all company deliveries and tracks through a delivery log including processing mail as needed
  • Keeps track of all outgoing overnight deliveries and call for pick-ups if appropriate
  • Assists in the preparation and delivery of departmental reports and letters
  • Assists with mailings by preparing labels and stuffing envelopes
  • Ensures that the front desk and lobby area remain clean and clear of clutter
  • Support the overall security of the corporate office by establishing badge access for employees and appropriate visitors
  • Supports with administrative functions of associate onboarding including updating of associate directories intranet resources
  • Serves as the primary owner of KEMBA wear processes including setup of new associate accounts, funding credits, order distribution, and various troubleshooting activities
  • Coordinates orders of name badges, plaques, business cards and other materials for KEMBA associates
  • Provides administrative support to the Human Resources department as requested
  • Maintains utmost confidentiality regarding all matters of Human Resources Administration
  • Performs all duties in a manner that is fully compliant with applicable industry regulations as well as KEMBA policy and procedures
  • Develops an understanding of Credit Union history, philosophy, organization, policies, and operational procedures
  • On a self-direct basis, continues to improve individual level of competency through training and certification on established educational programs
  • Relates to others beyond giving and receiving instructions:
    • Communicates with coworkers or peers without exhibiting behavioral extremes
    • Performs work activities requiring negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading, or speaking with others
    • Responds appropriately to criticism from a supervisor
  • Performs other duties as required by management

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
  • Prior customer service experience
  • Proven track record of reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Knowledge of most Microsoft Office software
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must value a high degree of accuracy
  • Professional and welcoming demeanor
  • Exceptional communication skills
