The position will be responsible for executing the embecta strategy to drive increased sales of the embecta safety portfolio in the acute care setting. The Regional Account Manager will plan and execute sales activities targeted at key decision makers in the acute care channel. They will need to be a highly competent sales performer with the ability to work collaboratively within target accounts to drive embecta sales goals across safety pen needles and safety syringes.
The Regional Account Manager will require collaboration internally and with external stakeholders to support embecta efforts across their acute care accounts. They will be responsible for identifying opportunities across IDN’s and ensure the prioritization of the embecta strategy execution and sales growth in their region.
This is a field-based role covering IDNs in States around the Great Lakes area: MN, WI, IL, IN, MI, OH, ND, SD, IA, MO, WV, and KY. Ideal candidate will live in any of these States.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Achieve Account and Territory sales targets/quotas
Maintain existing business while focusing on growth opportunities
Effectively develops account level strategies and plan to drive successful conversion to embecta products among targeted accounts
Demonstrates leadership and execution in negotiations with accounts to attain business goals
Leverages internal and external relationships to identify customer leads
Manages the conversion process of new business
Regularly forecast territory/ account performance over 12 month window, and be accountable for forecast accuracy in salesforce.com
Lead and participate in key projects as assigned by leadership
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, including some weekend
Basic Requirements:
BA/BS in business or related discipline
Documented IDN account management experience on the assigned region.
Relationships with clinical and financial stakeholders within large IDNs across the assigned region
5+ years sales success in the medical device industry
Advanced knowledge of healthcare/ hospital buying and contracting process for both clinical and economic products
Understanding of U.S. healthcare landscape, including role of payers, GPO’s, distributors
Preferred Requirements:
Diabetes experience preferred
Strategic thinking and analysis of business opportunities
Relationship development across varied stakeholders, from senior business leaders to clinical experts
Ability to drive solution-oriented selling with both clinical and economic stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to develop account level plans and effectively influence account key stakeholders
Proven ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners, and find mutually beneficial ways to accelerate business
Demonstrated ability to understand changing healthcare landscape
Excellent planning, organizing, and project management skills
Excellent communication and influencing skills- verbal, written, and presentation
Excellence in ambiguity, adapting to change and new opportunities
