The Enterprise Data Services (EDS) Organization is crucial in providing fast and accurate data to drive key business decisions. We are seeking a Scrum Master who embraces servant leadership and is eager to grow with us over time. This position will support two well-established teams and work closely with the Release Train Engineer and Agile Product Owners. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn and understand the teams’ work, the ability to identify team trends, and the skills to ensure optimal workflow.

This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in an office location (Add locations) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a servant leader and coach for Agile teams, facilitating team events and processes.

  • Foster an environment where the Agile team can stay focused and free from outside impacts.

  • Educate the team about Lean and Agile practices to improve flow of value.

  • Remove any roadblocks that hinder team progress.

  • Facilitate team events such as Daily Stand-ups, Iteration Planning, PI Planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Support the Product Owner in managing the backlog and guiding the development team.

  • Strengthen communication and relationships with other teams, especially those on the Agile Release Train and Value Streams.

  • Track team metrics and find ways to improve team performance.

    Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge and experience in Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum. Experience with SAFe a plus.

  • Certification as a Scrum Master (e.g., Certified Scrum Master or SAFe Scrum Master).

  • Excellent facilitation and coaching skills.

  • Ability to understand and track Risks, Issues, Impediments and Dependencies.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with team members and stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.

  • Good understanding of Lean and Agile principles.

  • Experience in tracking and analyzing team metrics to drive continuous improvement.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work in a fast-paced environment

Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$89,200 - $133,800
