POSITION: Title: Senior Electrical Engineer Location: Columbus, Ohio The Opportunity: This position is responsible for developing, documenting, and testing electrical and electronic subsystems and components for airfield lighting, employing knowledge of electronic theory and methods. This includes routine maintenance of a product as carried out in the Engineering Change Process, quality improvements, design to cost efforts, all the way to product sunsetting and eventual replacement. You will make an impact by.... Collaborating with cross-functional global teams, participating in strategic product roadmap discussions and planning with global/local Product Management on the Airside 4.0 products Acting as the technical lead for cross-functional project teams in the development of products through a phase-gate project development process from concept to launch. Creating, preparing, and modifying schematics, layouts, PCB drawings, and wiring diagrams for new product development and Engineering Changes release. Working with production to support production line setup with the introduction of new products. Supporting production during periods of irregular operations which include BOM, assembly, and test questions. Working with the Supply Chain to help validate vendors' ability to produce parts as designed as well as assist in the effort to find alternate parts. Planning and implementing the establishment of design specifications, manufacturing improvements, test equipment, and new product concepts. The talent we want to inspire has.... Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in Electrical Engineering for industrial products Analog/Digital circuit design, troubleshooting, Switchmode Power Supply design Proper layout techniques with an emphasis in proper EMI mitigation and control Proper setup and integration of standard test equipment: oscilloscope, spectrum analyzers, etc Ability to travel 10% for field troubleshooting or data collection, both US and internationally This would be a plus but not a must! Masters' degree in Electrical Engineering Experience with high power electronics; constant current system experience Experience with network analyzer or communications Work experience with the electronic design tools, Altium preferred What's on offer We value you and your contribution in the business.
