The Sr. Specialist, Marketing Events will be responsible for the comprehensive planning, execution, and oversight of national/regional customer-facing events, exhibits, and conferences. In this capacity, they will collaborate effectively with both external and internal teams to execute programs that align with established strategic objectives, overall brand positioning, conference timelines and sales goals. Additionally, they will assume responsibility for the development of the budget for specific events, monitoring the overall outcomes of event participation and developing criteria for which conferences we should be attending each fiscal year. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain annual event strategy inclusive of the criteria for evaluating / adding / removing events from the master calendar. Evaluate event tiering criteria for accuracy and determine where events should fit within. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to formulate comprehensive event strategies, optimizing staffing and financial resources to maximize attendee engagement efficiently. Partner with brand and product marketing to develop strategies for engaging attendees both during and after the event to enhance their overall experience. Manage all aspects of conferences and events, overseeing logistics such as audience development programs, agenda planning, budget management, audiovisual needs, food & beverage coordination, accommodations, event-specific communications, signage, collateral materials, exhibit hall setup, booth design, registration, and speaker communications. Introduce and leverage new event technologies and industry best practices to enhance business processes and functions. Conduct post-conference feedback analysis to gather insights and identify areas for improvement. Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities): Education/Training - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or comparable education/experience Business Experience - Minimum 7 year(s) of experience in marketing, hospitality or event management. Experience supervising team members and directing work of others Experience creating event / conference strategy creation and execution. People skills needed to lead cross-functional teams of product marketers, partner support, sales, and logistics staff. Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at a time. Specialized Knowledge/Skills - Experience with Salesforce a plus Experience in B2B healthcare preferred We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets.
