Robert Half Staff Accountant in Columbus, Ohio

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant based in Columbus, Ohio. This role focuses on various accounting tasks such as inventory monitoring, monthly reporting, and data management. As a Staff Accountant, you will be part of a team that ensures the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations in the company.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and monitor inventory movement and intra-company transfers

• Prepare and review monthly financial reports

• Conduct reviews of income statements and expense reports

• Execute basic journal entries as part of the financial reporting process

• Perform routine data entry tasks to maintain accurate financial records

• Utilize NetSuite for various accounting processes

• Handle accounts payable and receivable, including bank reconciliations

• Maintain the general ledger and conduct journal entries

• Manage month-end close procedures

• Oversee data management tasks to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar

• Holds skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Demonstrates ability to conduct Bank Reconciliations

• Experienced in managing General Ledger

• Proficient in creating and maintaining Journal Entries

• Familiar with Month End Close procedures

• Has working knowledge of NetSuite software

• Demonstrates strong Data Management skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

• Adherence to all professional ethics, compliance, and corporate policies.
