SYNNEX Corporation Systems Engineer 3 in Columbus, Ohio

About the Role TD SYNNEX is looking for a well-rounded systems engineer with experience designing and implementing cloud solutions, process automation, infrastructure as code, cloud governance, and systems management. This position is responsible for working in a team to build and maintain platforms and programs for service delivery. What You'll Do Build and maintain automation solutions using tools like Ansible, CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation, and Python. Learn and utilize groundbreaking new technologies to design solutions in our services practice. Act as Tier 2/3 Support Engineer for various vendor products. Advocate customer requests, troubleshoot and resolve complex, critical and sensitive support issues as well as participate in conference calls when necessary to provide next level issue resolution for customers. Research a wide variety of technical subjects including interoperability with operating systems and third-party applications. Other job related duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Minimum Qualifications Technology-related bachelor's degree and 2 years relevant technical work experience OR 4+ years of relevant technical work experience. Familiarity, knowledge, and proficiency in the following: Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), scripting, automation, and workflows IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Systems Administration and Enterprise Architecture Strong multi-tasking skills Compute, Database, and Storage Networking and Security Virtualization and Cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment Ability to prioritize and organize tasks to meet project deadlines Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability communicate effectively across internal and external organizations. Superior customer service skills and ability to manage conflict. Ability to take complex technical topics and explain them to non-technical audiences. Strong analytical skills (i.e. requirements capture). Exposure to Cloud computing, and security concepts / best practices. Experience managing full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications. Scripting or programming/scripting experience in various languages (Python, Bash, JavaScript). One or more of the following certifications: AWS Certified Architect - Professional AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional Note: This position is posted at the Systems Engineer Level 3. However, we are open to considering candidates with varying levels of experience and qualifications. Depending on your skills and background, you may be considered for a Systems Engineer Level 1 or Level 2 position.
