Technical Writer

Job Description

We are seeking an operationally minded and detail-oriented Technical Writer to support the Sanitation Department at our food manufacturing facility. The selected candidate will be instrumental in standardizing, developing, and communicating sanitation programs and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) to enhance our cleaning and sanitation processes. This role involves working closely with Sanitation, Quality Assurance, and Operations Management to understand and document the facility’s current sanitation programs, develop and revise SSOPs, and support continual improvement initiatives. Additional responsibilities include maintaining and auditing sanitation forms and records, and conducting hands-on training for Sanitation and Production staff.

Hard Skills

• Technical writing experience in a manufacturing setting

• AS or BS in STEM or relevant experience in a manufacturing setting

• Experience in developing and maintaining Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs)

• Ability to conduct audits and maintain detailed records

• Proficiency in regulatory compliance within an FDA-regulated environment

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Columbus, Ohio.
