Heartland has an immediate opening for a Universal Banker at our Capital Square branch located in downtown, Columbus, OH.  Provide both existing and prospective clients with efficient and accurate service while developing strong professional relationships to assist in understanding their individual needs and promoting business for the bank through cross selling and referrals.  Have working knowledge of all CSR responsibilities, new account opening and consumer lending. In this highly visible role, a typical day might include the following:

  • Foster and cultivate customer relationships through sales initiatives, leveraging both industry and Heartland Bank specific product knowledge.
  • Execute transactions encompassing a range of tasks, including processing customer transactions, initiating and finalizing account operations, meticulously managing consumer product maintenance, addressing lending inquiries, and leveraging the cash recycler technology in strict accordance with established policies and protocols.
  • Oversee and balance the allocated cash supply throughout the course of the workday.
  • Maintain and balance the vault cash supply, concurrently coordinating the logistics of cash shipments and deliveries.
  • Adhere to the sales performance and distinction standards set forth for Universal Bankers.
  • Extend prompt greetings to customers in both in-person and telephonic interactions, discern their immediate requirements, and proficiently navigate branch workflow procedures to deliver the utmost level of customer service.
  • Execute routine onboarding prerequisites for newly established accounts with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve predetermined benchmarks in production, sales, cross-selling, and operational achievements.
  • Conscientiously complete essential daily, weekly, and monthly reporting obligations.
  • Channel potential business prospects to diverse stakeholders within the institution for specialized services such as investments, mortgage lending, commercial lending, and cash management.
  • Participate in mandatory meetings and training sessions, aimed at refining skill sets and proficiently conveying pertinent information to fellow branch personnel.
  • Adhere to established security protocols, always ensuring safeguarding of customer information.
