Job Summary

As a Product Manager in Branch Workplace Technology team, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and improve top-tier client experiences. With a good commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations. In this role, you will work with branch leadership and colleagues, help desk, operations, and technology teams to proactively identify, monitor, and drive resolution of technology pain points for our branch employees and customers.

The Branch Workplace Technology team sits within the Consumer Bank organization and is responsible for enabling an excellent technology experience for our 4700+ branches by innovating for the branch network, managing the strategic roadmap, and providing tactical solutions for support and issue resolution. We are recruiting for a highly motivated Branch Health Product Manager. Work with Product & branch leadership to proactively identify and drive resolution of technology pain points for our branches.

Job responsibilities

  • Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers.

  • Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap.

  • Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition.

  • Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability.

  • Develop and maintain deep relationships with our Branch colleagues to understand and address their needs and concerns in support of their branch and customers.

  • Develop and maintain robust communication and support structures to bring together and organize teams to help resolve major incidents and ongoing technology issues and notify branch leadership of the status and possible workarounds.

  • Provide leadership and support of major incidents during branch working hours which includes weekend support when needed. Hands-on management of a product backlog including story refinement and ranking. Define requirements and prioritizes delivery in order to maximize the business value of the investment.

  • Lead end-to-end management and product delivery across the full product lifecycle including research, ideation, prototype, test, build, adopt, and measure in partnership with users, stakeholders, Design, and Technology. Effectively drive teams toward robust set of delivery milestones. Understand and mitigate risks, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies in product development lifecycle.

  • Demonstrate governance by ensuring that work streams and initiatives are tracked and actively managed, deliverables are properly prioritized and sequenced, risks are addressed and status measured, and deliveries are improved.

  • Develop clear documentation of the scope, business requirements, use cases, workflows, wireframes, and other materials as needed to support UX research, design and development.

  • Develop and maintain deep relationships with delivery partners across the Business, Technology, Design, and Data & Analytics functions. Develop and maintain regular management and organization reporting of issues and the overall technology health of our branches.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area

  • Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics

  • Demonstrate ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management.

  • 5+ years of people management, business management, strategy, or related experience

  • Extensive experience managing product delivery across multiple work streams with varying timelines, priorities and complexities.

  • Demonstrate ability to execute via successful internal partnerships with other organizations with the ability to influence people at all levels across a broad variety of job functions, sometimes without formal authority.

  • Excellent leadership skills of product, programs, projects, teams and employees with demonstrated track record for attracting and retaining top talent.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Structured thinker, effective communicator with excellent written communication skills.

  • Good sense of personal responsibility and accountability for delivering high quality work

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization.

  • Good understanding of and ability to work within Agile methodology, Scrum Product Owner certification a plus.

  • New product development and implementation, with experience in hardware and software technology

  • Self-starter with in-depth, hands-on experience driving issue management across industries that relate to banking or financial services.
