Natural Resources Conservation Service Administrative Support Assistant in Conway, Arkansas

Summary This position is located in the Conway, Arkansas State Area Office of the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). The primary purpose of the position is to serve as an assistant for clerical and administrative activities pertaining to correspondence, budget, purchasing, human resources, timekeeping, travel, and related administrative areas for a State Area Office. Responsibilities Serves as the central point of contact to provide program support for a wide range of administrative, office support, and clerical functions. Establishes, organizes, and maintains a filing system of official material and records; disposes material in accordance with prescribed procedures. Provides administrative guidance, updates, and retrieval of information associated with training, travel, and technical reports. Serves as purchase card holder and inventory recorder for supplies, equipment, and services within delegated authority, ensuring proper and timely documentation and reconciling. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience for the respective grade level(s) in which you are applying: GS-8 Specialized Experience: One or more full-time years (12-months) of specialized work experience, equivalent to at least the GS-7 grade level in the Federal service, performing the following duties: Maintaining a program filing/case system and adhering to filing requirements; Utilizing computer programs to produce a variety of correspondence, documents, spreadsheets, and reports.
