Overview

JOB SUMMARY: Under Supervision, the intern(s) will gain hands-on experience by working on general day to day activities, assist where needed in the Department and develop project(s). Essential functions are further elaborated below.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinates and monitors day-to-day LPNA operations, analyzing operations, taking corrective action, providing constructive feedback and monitoring cost and expenses, to achieve Liquids division and GSF productivity and quality objectives and to ensure compliance with GSF and regulatory agency regulations. (50%)

  • Supervises the daily activities of production supervisors, providing instruction, training and performance feedback to ensure production efficiency and quality objectives are met or exceeded. (10%)

  • Identify and resolve process operational issues, facilitate equipment problems, maintain quality, productivity and safety utilizing available resources (QA/Sanitation/Maintenance Supervisors) (10%)

  • Enforce safety standards and quality procedures to ensure that department and GSF safety rules and quality specifications are adhered to. (10%)

  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality and productivity by developing new ideas, process improvement, and planning for upcoming equipment or process changes. (10%)

  • Routinely informs and communicates with all LPNA department resources (Director/Manager/QA/ Sanitation/Maintenance) to promote smooth operations, enhance their understanding of GSF policies and objectives, and to ensure compliance with established production policies and procedures. (10%)

  • Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Capacity to create positive relationships with staff, volunteers, potential community supporters and partners

  • Comfort with engaging (written and verbal) corporate entities for partnership opportunities

    Education/Certification:

  • Freshman-Senior in College; Graduate Student preferred.
