WorkSource Oregon Restoration Projects Manager in Coos Bay, Oregon

REQUIREMENTS. * Must be at least 25 years of age per Vehicle Use policy. * A valid driver\'s license, adequate transportation, and eligibility to operate GSA vehicles required. This position may include providing transportation for Native and non-Native American clients in Tribally owned motor vehicle(s), which may include cars, vans and buses. * Bachelor\'s Degree in Biology, Botany, Natural Resources, Environmental Sciences, or a related discipline. * One year or more work experience as a restoration practitioner in ecological restoration of degraded ecosystems or closely related natural resources field. * One year or more experience in the collection, management, analysis, and reporting of environmental data. * Working knowledge of ecological processes, and ability to apply this knowledge into restoration/revegetation plans. * Familiarity with federal, state and local regulations that apply to habitat restoration projects, wetlands, and water quality. * Requires the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing * Ability to work well with Tribal members, the general public, private landowners, and stakeholder organizations in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner. * Ability to effectively communicate with people having various levels of understanding of pure and applied sciences, environmental protection, ecocultural restoration, and cultural resources. * Working knowledge of grant management requirements, including working within the limitations of grant work plans and budgets. * Proficiency in the use of computer software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Publisher, virtual meeting platforms, grantee portals/databases, geographical information systems, etc. * Be willing to complete First Aid/CPR training as arranged by the Tribes. * Maintain professionalism in absolutely all interactions. * Possess reasonable ability to communicate in English. * This is a covered position and will be subject to pre-employment drug testing and criminal history background check, which will include fingerprinting. * Must have employment eligibility in the United States * Indian preference will be observed in the hiring process. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * One year or more full-time experience as project manager of ecological restoration projects. * Three years\' work experience as a restoration practitioner in ecological restoration of degraded ecosystems or closely related natural resources field * Working knowledge of Treatment in the Same Manner as a State (TAS). * Strong technical writing, editing, proofreading, and reading comprehension skills. * Experience or interest in assisting in trailering canoes/small boats and cargo trailers. * ATV experience. * Experience working with a Tribal community. * Experience, knowledge, or interest in incorporating Indigenous Knowledge or Traditional * Ecological Knowledge into restoration projects (i.e. ecocultural restoration) and restoring ancient connections and relationships between Tribes and the lands of their inheritance.
