Job Status: Year Round Full Time

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $2,461.54 to $2,692.31+ biweekly amount, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
  • Benefits: This position is eligible to enroll in company subsidized medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, HSA, life/disability options; season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available. 401(K) Matching Plan: 100% employer match on the first 5% contributed.

Job Summary:

The Senior General Ledger Accountant position is a full-time, year-round position at Copper Mountain. The accountant administers and coordinates general ledger transactions to maintain an accurate balance sheet and ensure truthful financial reporting. The accountant also works with Powdr Corp accounting to make certain that Copper Mountain is in compliance with regard to government and other financial regulations within the privately owned company.

Basic Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to visually review written and electronic documents
  • Intermediate level skier or snowboarder (or willingness to learn)
  • Due to the sensitive nature of this position, a criminal background check will be conducted after position is accepted. This background check will be done in accordance with standards enacted under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
  • 4-year accounting or finance degree required
  • 3-5 years' prior accounting experience.
  • 2+ years' experience with reconciling cash, cash equivalents & deferred revenue
