Position Summary

The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager is a pivotal member of the Finance team, reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance. This role is responsible for driving the development and implementation of financial plans and forecasts that align with the company’s strategic objectives. The manager will conduct in-depth analyses of business results, collaborating closely with various departments to provide actionable insights that support executive decision-making and promote organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Reporting

+ + Develop and maintain financial analysis models to provide insights to the company’s financial performance.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.

  • Analyze financial results against previous periods, budgets and forecasts, identifying variances as well as opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.

    Budgeting & Forecasting

    • Lead annual budgeting process, and monthly / quarterly forecast updates relative to financial sales & profit projections, working capital, fixed assets, and all other balance sheet and cash flow impacts.
  • Build and maintain budget and forecast models facilitating efficient and effective budget and forecast compilation facilitating strategic decision making.

  • Continuous improvement of budget & forecast models to drive high-confidence modeling.

  • Variance analysis of results versus forecasts facilitating development of remediation actions for unfavorable variances.

  • Lead process to build and maintain long-term strategic & financial plan.

  • Leverage advanced reporting, data management, and analysis tools, including artificial intelligence, to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial planning and analysis activities.

  • Work cross-functionally to lead analysis supporting strategic direction and investment priorities.

  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure alignment between financial reporting and accounting.

  • Conduct special projects and analyses as needed by management.

MBA preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience. Financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities + + Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interfacing with company employees, management and executive management

  • Must understand confidentiality requirements of financial data

  • Ability to work independently and with a team to accomplish goals

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, advanced excel experience

  • Demonstration of progressive levels of responsibility in previous positions
