Aerotek Pipefitter in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania

Job Title: Pipefitter

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter with 2-3 years of experience in pipefitting and fabrication. The ideal candidate must be able to read blueprints and tack welds, and should have a clean attendance record as verified by reference checks. Responsibilities include pipefitting, fabricating parts, operating hand saws and torches, performing MIG welding, tack welding, general cleanup of the shop area and facility, fitting steel parts by interpreting blueprints, and operating overhead cranes. Candidates should also be able to convert blueprints from the metric system to English. While this role involves more plate fitting than pipe fitting, it offers a great opportunity for those willing to learn and consistently show up for work. The primary task is to build industrial furnaces, mainly box structures, with some cylindrical shapes for companies such as GE and Alcoa. This is not heavy structural fitting, and the role requires someone who can quickly adapt and start producing after a few days of training with an experienced fitter. Though a MIG certification is preferred, it is not mandatory. Candidates with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn will be considered.
