Job Title: Structural Fitter

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Fitter with 2-3 years of experience in structural steel fitting. The ideal candidate must be able to read blueprints, tack weld, and maintain a clean attendance record. Responsibilities include structural steel fitting, fabrication of parts, operating hand saws and torches, MIG welding, tack welding, general cleanup of the shop area, fitting steel parts by reading and interpreting blueprints, overhead crane operation, and potentially converting blueprints from the metric system to English. You will be working on industrial furnaces up to 105 ft long and 200 ft high for ingot molds. While heavy structural fitting is not required, you will mainly be doing plate fitting with some occasional cylindrical fitting.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania.

Work Environment

First Shift: 4x10 (Monday-Thursday) with potential overtime on Friday. Second Shift: 11AM-12PM (three 13-hour shifts Monday-Wednesday). Dress code includes steel toes, jeans, and a t-shirt or sweatshirt. The facility is not climate controlled, resulting in very cold conditions during winter and hot conditions during summer. The environment is highly industrial and may not be suitable for candidates seeking a modern, climate-controlled work space.
