Description Robert Half is searching for an experienced Staff Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. In this position, the Staff Accountant prepares journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, various aspects of internal reporting will be under your responsibility. You will lend your skills to developing and implementing accounting policies. Also, you will take part in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This position plays an intricate part in producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Your responsibilities in this role

• Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

• Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested

• Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting

• Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions

• Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations

• Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable

• Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries

• Partake in various department-wide initiatives

• Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

• Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

• Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision

• Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation Requirements - Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

• Great attention to detail

• ERP system experience

• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

• Self-starter and strong ethical standards

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

• Demonstrated ability in strong analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Recent and relevant accounting experience

• Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

• Strong familiarity with Enter Vendor Invoices

• Comprehensive knowledge of Credit Card Reconciliation

• QuickBooks experience highly desired

• Bank reconciliations experience preferred

• Foundational knowledge in Process Vendor Invoices

• Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
