This is a job for a Remote Systems Engineer with a company located in the Jackson, MS area.

Job Summary: The Systems Engineer will have a unique opportunity to design and implement cutting-edge public safety communication solutions for Motorola's ASTRO 25 and adjacent technologies for State and Local government agencies. This role is ideal for Engineers energized by the prospect of delivering solutions that truly make a difference.

Responsibilities: Design and implement radio networks, including infrastructure, subscribers, mobile backhaul, and WAN/LAN networks. A high level of customer and consultant interaction, including customer design reviews, customer-witnessed staging, acceptance testing events, coverage acceptance testing, live system upgrades, and troubleshooting efforts. System build-out, configuration, and acceptance testing will be conducted in lab staging and field environments. Radio coverage testing, frequency analysis, and interference mitigation. Complete system documentation. Live system cutovers and upgrades.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or technical discipline and 6+ years of engineering or technical experience. OR 8 years of engineering or technical experience. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
