Aston Carter Assistant Accounting Manager in Corona, California

Job Title: Accounting ManagerJob Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be involved in various aspects of the monthly and quarterly closing processes, including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations. You will assist with the consolidation process of multiple subsidiaries, including intercompany reconciliation and foreign currency accounting. You will also help in the preparation and timely filing of reports required with the SEC, such as 10-Q and 10-K filings, and produce clear, organized work papers to support these filings. Additionally, you will assist with year-end audits and perform special projects as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in various aspects of the monthly/quarterly closing process, including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.

  • Assist with the consolidation process of multiple subsidiaries, including intercompany reconciliation and foreign currency accounting.

  • Help in the preparation and timely filing of reports required with the SEC, including 10-Q, 10-K, and other filings.

  • Produce clear and organized work papers that adequately support the Company’s SEC filings.

  • Assist with year-end audits.

  • Perform special projects as needed.

  • Assist the Accounting Manager with managing month-end close activities, preparation of quarterly consolidated financial statements, assisting with interim and year-end audits, and training new and existing staff as needed.

Essential Skills

  • 4+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting experience (Big 4 preferred).

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP.

  • Exceptional organizational skills and verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, solid analytical skills, and follow-through.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong proficiency in Excel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

  • Experience with month-end close processes, including prepaids, bank reconciliations, and accruals.

  • Experience with consolidations, intercompany reconciliations, and consolidated financial statements.

  • Experience with SEC 10-Q and 10-K reporting is a plus.

  • Experience with SAP is ideal, but open to Oracle or similar.

Work Environment

This position offers a hybrid work environment with 2 days onsite, usually Tuesday and Thursday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.89 - $47.85
