Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

$75.132 - $96.945 - $118.758

The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position.  The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.

What You Will Do

To provide effective management of operations for the hospital and administration during regular and non-regular business hours.

Required Qualifications

  • 3 Years recent clinical experience.

  • California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing

  • AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 2 Years leadership experience.

  • Prior house supervision.

  • ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - American Heart Association

Essential Functions

  • Achieve patient outcomesDelivers/completes/contributes to delivery of quality, cost effective patient care per guidelines, standards, or care per facility outlines by knowing and understanding specific staff/unit capabilities to ensure correct delegation; and/or assisting with direct patient care by demonstrating clinical competence in area of practice assigned as per guidelines indicated at individual facilities (GH: PICC redressing; SMV: unlisted; SCOR: Pharmacy, Set up and assist labor and delivery; SCVMC: Pharmacy; SMH: PICC redressing, Trauma Assist, ADT unit).Successful outcomes as documented on the goal planning tool:Ensures that appropriate nursing intervention is selected to achieve identified patient care outcomes; and/orSupport Clinical patient care activities and other work of the department to achieve efficient and effective outcomes; and/orIdentifies and/or participates in implementation of cost-reducing idea in delivery or care.

  • Act as a mentorSuccessful outcomes as documented on the goal planning tool:Assists staff to resolve identified learning/performance issues;Orients/mentors staff into new roles;Evaluates current programs and tools (safety, training, etc.) for potential for increased efficiency or effectiveness;Leads initiative for improvement for safety issues.

  • Leadership and communicationSuccessful outcomes as documented on the goal planning tool:Collaborates with other disciplines/departments to resolve identified trends/problems related to communication between departments and/or personnel; and/orActs to resolve identified interdepartmental relationship problems; and/orDevelops new, effective communication skills.

  • Problem resolutionCustomers and Peers report interaction with Administrative Liaison is effective in moving toward problem resolution. The Administrative Liaison also facilitates patient movement priority of placement per policy and established guidelines; and/or in absence of manager, addresses staff, patient or family complaints; and/or assumes leadership, facilitates and provides direction in rapidly changing workload and in crisis situations (e.g. HEICS, Codes, Traumas, Crises situations); and/or collaborates and serves as resource to other disciplines/departments.Successful outcomes as documented on the goal planning tool:Implements systems to inform/increase staff compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards; and/orLeads initiative in quality issues; and/orAssists staff in prioritization and problem solving operational concerns; and/orCollaborates with and serves as resource to other disciplines/departments to resolve identified issues/trends.

  • Regulatory complianceUnderstands Section 5150/5170 of the Welfare and Institutions Code.Evaluates patients for 72 hour/5150 detention criteria.Initiates 5150 involuntary detentions for evaluation and treatment of select patients.Advises patients both verbally and written of their rights and reasons for being detained on a 5150/72 hour hold.Assesses patients for 14-day certification criteria when consulting psychiatrist is unable to assess patient; thereby has authority to sign 14-day certification form as the second evaluator.

  • StaffingSuccessful outcomes as documented on the goal planning tool:Trends and reports identified staffing patterns problems to managers; and/orIdentifies barriers to efficient staffing planning and acts to improve outcomes; and/orContributes to utilization of resources in cost-effective manner.
