Amentum Logistics Supervisor in Corpus Christi, Texas

Supervises, coordinates, and directs personnel engaged in material stocking, inventory, pulling, and movement. Provide indoctrination, training and assistance to personnel within the department. Has extensive contact with individuals inside and outside of the organization. Receives minimal supervision from Material Manager Analyzes trends, predicts logistics support requirements. Establishes goals, objectives, and performance standards to ensure demands are accomplished.

Must have comprehensive knowledge of logistical support operation involved with maintenance of aircraft and supporting tools and equipment. Must be able to read, write, and interpret instructions, technical manuals, FAR's, and/or directives necessary for the accomplishment of job assignment. Assigns, directs, evaluates, and inspects work processes performed by employees in assigned area. Provides technical assistance, guidance, and instruction. Interfaces with Government Representatives, and Company personnel regarding all aspects of Supply Division.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING DUTIES. THE EXAMPLES OF WORK ARE NOT All INCLUSIVE; THEY ARE EXAMPLES ONLY AND MAY BE AMENDED OR ADDED TO AS NEEDED BY THE ORGANIZATION. SALARY EXEMPT SUPERVISORY POSITION.

  • Responsible for cycle count of inventory including research on out of balance conditions and recounts.

  • Develops, implements and monitors procedures relating to the shipping and storage of parts and material, with the ability to determine the ownership of material.

  • Takes necessary action to give maximum assistance in meeting delivery schedules

  • Participates in an aggressive shelf-life program for materials entering the company supply system to its final disposition.

  • Identifies problem areas within areas of responsibility and determines if goals and standards are being met.

  • Identifies and submits changes to standardize policies and procedures which may be changed to ensure more effective and efficient operations.

  • Provides oversight regarding compliance to company rules of conduct and policies and procedures within area of jurisdiction providing guidance, instruction, supervision, and assistance to employees in area of responsibility.

  • Assists Material Manager and Site Manager in directing and coordinating all activities of assigned personnel for the total support of the program.

  • Participates in hiring, transfer, and promotion selection process.

  • Initiates and recommends corrective measures to insure fair, consistent, and proper administration of disciplinary procedures for assigned employees.

  • Coordinates work schedules, benefit time, job priorities, and management of assets to ensure the timely completion of logistical support, and accurate record keeping of source documents.

  • Performs work center orientation and on-the job training for employees in area of responsibility Ensures that training/certification/re-certification is current and documented in employee training records.

  • Maintains communications within area of responsibility, informing employees as to plans and progress and promotes teamwork and cooperation.

  • Analyzes trends and predicts requirements.

  • Make recommendations to management to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, and/or cut costs.

  • Maintain and monitor attendance. Validate and sign employee timecards certifying that the timecard has been reviewed and the attendance, labor charges, and appropriate corrections are accurate and in compliance with the Company Labor Charging and Attendance Reporting Policy and Procedure.

  • Assists in determining manning requirements for assigned workcenters.

  • Assists as directed to ensure safety, security and preservation of Government owned and Company owned equipment

  • Complies with and assures compliance with all established general and industrial safety rules and regulations and property emergency procedures, as applicable to the contract, facilities and job assignments ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.

  • Ensures the proper maintenance of and cleanliness of assigned spaces and facilities.

  • Complies with Safety, Foreign Object Damage, Hazardous Waste, Corrosion Control, and Tool Control Programs

  • Coordinate and cooperate with all Company and Site Divisions to meet the needs of the program.

  • Work harmoniously with other employees.

  • Performs other related duties as required.

EXPERIENCE:

Must have extensive knowledge and experience in supervision and managing personnel Possess a strong background in aircraft maintenance logistics support, and procedures. Have the ability to determine manning requirements, detect trends and predict maintenance and supply requirements. Must have extensive working knowledge of Naval Aviation Logistics Support, FAR's, and Quality Assurance. Must have excellent communication skills.

EDUCATION/LICENSES:

  • Graduation from a standard four (4) year high school or equivalent GED. Six (6) years of aviation supply experience.

  • Must have two (2) years’ experience in aviation logistics supervisory position.

  • Must have valid driver's license.

  • Forklift license required.

  • Must be able to meet any government/company licensing/qualification requirements for the position.

  • Must be able to work any assigned shift or schedule.

ENVIRONMENT:

The diversity of working conditions may range from a standard warehouse environment to an environment where inclement weather may subject individual to severe changes in temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY:

Requires sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time. Requires frequent climbing, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, crouching, kneeling, lifting, carrying, balancing and reaching above shoulder level, pushing or pulling weight up to 50 pounds Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range

Potential Hazards:

Exposure to high intensity noise levels, extreme changes in temperature, materials identified on Material Safety Data Sheets, working at heights on or around materials and machinery.

Work Location:

Supply Warehouse, Aircraft maintenance shops, hangars, and flight line. May require travel in support of Company requirements.
