Job Summary

Leads the branch operations sector towards high performance in Safety, Quality, Productivity, Delivery, and Cost.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promotes processes and procedures that will assist in improving customer on time delivery.

  • Monitors ongoing performance against annual objectives, communication substandard circumstances, and executes improvement plans.

  • Counsels, coaches, and develops staff to achieve department set goals.

  • Collaborates with other departments and branches on projects, kaizens, and continuous improvement activities.

  • Accountable for delivering goals on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, Cost, and Compliance KPIs for the operations department.

  • Actively contributes to supporting all the necessary supporting functions to Operations including purchasing, supply chain management, quality, etc. offering feedback on improvements.

  • Actively contributes to processing orders & material transfers. 

  • Active contribution to the Global Continuous Improvement initiative specifically Kaizen Events, 5S, CI Projects, QA Initiative.

  • Communicates and delivers all required reports, metrics/data, and updates to branch manager and senior management in a timely, concise, and professional manner.

  • Handle all disciplinary and accountability issues based on policy and the collective bargaining agreement

  • Documented performance management and accountability system for all team members with results and evaluation twice a year.

  • Other duties as assigned

    Job Specifications

    Skills

  • Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.

  • Extensive knowledge of operations and production management.

  • Ability to interpret financial data as needed to set production goals.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

  • Proficient at analyzing and developing improvement actions based on BI reports

    Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field is preferred.

    Work Experience

  • 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Plant/Operations Manager

    Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to access and navigate the production facility.

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.

  • May require traveling on occasion.
